44This article explores the application of the principle of plenitude within Leibniz’s philosophical system, examining its connection to the notion of perfection and the principle of sufficient reason. I will examine how Leibniz uses the principle of plenitude and the principle of sufficient reason to justify the creation of a full and continuous universe, in contrast to his contemporaries such as Hobbes and Spinoza. In addition, I will illustrate the interaction between soul and body according to the Leibnizian perspective of immortality and pre-established harmony. This study aims to highlight the ontological and theological implications of the principle of plenitude in Leibniz’s thought and its role in shaping modern metaphysics.
