This paper analyzes, with regard to the Italian system and the last twenty-five years, the evolution of comparative law in the area of constitutional justice. First, it examines the international relations developed by the Constitutional Court, from which an increasing attention of the Court to comparative law emerges. Second, some considerations are made on the studies carried out by Italian legal scholarship. Finally, the issues related to legal translations are mentioned: indeed, the subject has been the focus of interest of the Constitutional Court, which aims to improve the knowledge of its case-law outside the country
