The article explores the profound and contradictory transformations of the international order in the twenty-five years of the DPCE, focusing in particular on the following points. a) The relaunch of the UN with respect to the maintenance of international peace and security and its subsequent crisis, marked by the spread of unilateral recourse to force. b) The controversial codification of State responsibility in international law. c) The phenomenon of “judicial activismµ in the field of international crimes committed by individuals and States. d) The birth and current crisis of the WTO in the context of a general crisis of multilateralism and growing conflicts in international relations.
