78In this essay I will face the topic of the progressive extension of the economic space in the globalisation era owing to the process of digitalisation of the real that has led to cease the great division between the external world, meant as the object of the coercive power of the law, and the internal world, subtracted from the use of the force and protected by the shield of the negative liberties of the liberal tradition of Natural Law origin. This has triggered a regression of the normative space of the subject in the current data-centric societies with the disappearance or restriction of social rights for some categories of workers (digital platform workers, microworkers). I will also underline that this phenomenon progressively affected the space of autonomy of the subject both as worker and, in some cases, even as citizen, hiting their liberties. In this sense, this deep transformation of the individual’s normative space triggered by the loss of control over their data can be contrasted by enforcing the defence built for protecting the data of the European citizens in the Old Continent.
