The article tries to summarize some of the central aspects of the political-juridical phenomenon called transnational constitutionalism. Starting from Danilo Zolo’s reflections, especially of his concept of minimum supranational law, as well as those of Maurizio Fioravanti on the historical evolution of constitutionalism, some points of reference will be presented for an attempt to conceive the constitutionalism beyond the state, but without the decline of the state, beyond national sovereignty, but without the dissolution of the principle of state sovereignty
