This article explores the «Fondo Edifici di Culto», an entity that is an integral part of Italian State administration, specifically within the Department of Civil Liberties and Immigration at the Ministry of the Interior. Its mission is to manage and enhance its extensive property, comprising over 800 churches across Italy. These assets have been accumulated over the past two centuries, initially by the «Cassa Ecclesiastica» and subsequently by the «Fondo per il Culto». The article delves into various legal challenges associated with the fund and seeks to propose innovative solutions for the management of religious heritage, applying the principle of cooperation between State and Church.
