Is Memory just a narrative? The question is raised by the return of war in the West: the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Hamas pogrom of October 7, 2024, and even more the massacre in Gaza. On a strange Day of Memory 2025, all these events force us to broaden our gaze from the Shoah to all the holocausts that are taking place daily before our eyes. The narratives accompanying them, in particular, force us to ask ourselves whether, when Memory finally moves online, it will not become a narrative like all the others. Here, however, the answer can be clear: narratives only aim to capture attention, Memory, on the contrary, also doubts itself.
