This article seeks to analyze the process of judicialization as a way of containing the populist corrosion of the institutional legitimacy of contemporary democracies in a context of platformization of the public sphere. Thus, preliminarily, it initially focuses on Pierre Rosanvallon's thesis about the impossibility of reducing the democratic experience only to its electoral-representative dimension, which leads to the question of the emergence of new forms of legitimation of democracy. Next, the deleterious effects produced by the platformization of the public sphere as a form of populist degradation of contemporary democratic institutionality will be discussed. Finally, judicialization is addressed as an instrument of containment, even if partial, of the populist degradation of the democratic experience in the context of the platformization of the public sphere.
