The article aims to analyze the role of the Third Sector in contemporary society, in particular its contribution to the promotion of human fraternity and the construction of new social and economic paradigms. Third Sector organizations, thanks to the voluntary work, take care of all types of weaknesses free of charge (poverty, disability, social marginalization) and pay attention to the social dignity and the common good. They not only carry out welfare activities but promote social and political change in line with the fundamental values of Pope Francis' Encyclical «Fratelli Tutti»: political love, social friendship and human fraternity. Indeed, the Third Sector is one of the protagonists of the World Meeting on Human Fraternity, promoted by Pontifical Foundation «Fratelli Tutti».
