This work discusses the need to rethink education in an age characterized by a profound crisis that involves the complexity of Life and its many expressions. This crisis is evident in the insidious misunderstandings that shape how we interpret the primary concerns and focal points of individual and collective life, including habits, choices, and relationships. In delineating a new paideia for the present and renewing our commitment to being a “being” Person, we underline the vital dimensions, continually denied by the logic of “well-functioning”. These dimensions include fragility and its countless meanings, the uniqueness of each newborn and the mystery of their evolution, and the importance of their empathic and participative relationships. In the final part, this work focuses on the core principles of the educational process, founded on asymmetry of responsibility, testimony, and exemplars.
