This contribution aims to analyze the current state of the Lazio Region’s healthcare system, which is presently constrained by the combined effects of budget deficits and the requirements imposed by the Recovery Plan. Starting from the objectives set out in the Region’s programmatic plans, the analysis will examine the reorganization of territorial services and the innovations introduced in the healthcare sector. After reviewing data on interregional healthcare mobility, attention will turn to healthcare expenditure in order to assess the system’s ability to guarantee the right to health, highlighting both improvements and critical issues.
