The article discusses Constitutional Court ruling no. 185/2024, with whom judges, in the context of an appeal filed by Court of Auditors, confirm regional incompetence (in this case, Tuscany) to determine the remuneration of political staffs’ employees, before a state legislation grants this power in 2023. The paper also investigates some court precedents, together with the efforts taken by the State to bring order and avoid future conflicts between Regions and accounting judges.
