This work takes note of a gap between the EU's objectives in the CFSP and the actual ability to pursue them due to the legal instruments made available by the Treaty of Lisbon. In consideration of the impossibility of finding suitable solutions in the absence of regulatory intervention, the innovative potential of the blockchain is highlighted, hypothesizing, on the basis of the experiments conducted so far, its active role in bringing European armies closer together.
