This contribution deals with the recent proposal for intervention by the European Union in the context of the fight against corruption, in light of the other International and supranational regulations, such as the UNCAC and the Conventions of the Council of Europe. The paper also investigates the renewed political and regulatory approach of the European Commission in the fight against corruption by recalling the numerous problems that have emerged in recent years. Finally, the abolition of abuse of office in Italy is taken into account by trying to verify the critical issues with the new anti-corruption policy of the European Commission.
