The article analyses recent regulatory initiatives in the context of the fight against forced labour, among which particular emphasis will be given to the new Regulation adopted by the European Union. The analysis will show how these initiatives are mainly framed within the framework of commercial policy framework, with a return to the same perspective that characterised the very birth of the ILO after the First World War.
