54The concept of community is apocryphal for the categories of law, with the important exception of the German constitutional tradition. Nevertheless, the adjective ‘common’ has shown other vitality, especially in recent times in conjunction with the noun ‘good’, where the problem of community arises only as a reflex in relation to the question of ‘common to whom’. Ultimately, following a constructivist and artificialist approach, the problem of community must be decoded in its historical-conceptual matrix by questioning the juridical conditions that make the formation of a collective entity possible: collegium, universitas, concilium are abstractions of praxis thanks to which jurists throughout history have thought of giving form and unity to a plurality of subjects and things
