486Traditional assessment methods often rely on quantitative indicators, failing to capture the full scope of cultural interventions. The SoPHIA model addresses this gap by involving stakeholders and beneficiaries in a participatory process, enhancing sense-making and offering a nuanced understanding of cultural impact. Applied to the Testimonianze Ricerca Azioni Festival by Teatro Akropolis in Genoa, the model highlighted the importance of ongoing dialogue between diverse stakeholders, emphasizing its ability to create meaning beyond operational metrics. While challenges remain, the first application of the SoPHIA model shows its promise as an alternative to conventional top-down evaluation methods.
