What, if anything, do Carducci and Rimbaud share? Could the young Blasucci have identified a trajectory towards modernity that unites these two seemingly disparate poets – one deeply rooted in the classical tradition, the other a pioneer of an entirely new linguistic paradigm? Ultimately, both poets converge in their relentless engagement with the 'torment of form', a dimension that Blasucci, despite lacking explicit references to major stylistic criticism at the time, perceptively discerns.
