The world is facing an emergency today, particularly from an environmental and climate perspective, which puts at risk the very possibility of continuing human life. The causes of this situation are of course many and intertwined, but economic science and managerial disciplines have certainly played a role. In fact, they have contributed to accompanying and legitimizing the evolution of the market, capitalism and business towards the intensive exploitation of all available natural and anthropic resources. As a reaction to this state of affairs, in recent years a vast movement has developed that seeks to bring Economics and Management, both as theories and practices, to a review of their principles and assumptions, even the most fundamental ones. The proposal of the Harmonious Enterprise fits into this movement, a vision whose incubation dates back to the end of the 1980s, in a milieu that Lorenzo Caselli's thought contributed to shape in a decisive way.
