106The object of this essay is to present a ‘pilot’ teaching experience of the University of Bergamo, which proposed a self-reflective space to future educators and early childhood teachers, as an essential activity to be made before planning at school on the topics of affectivity and sexuality. The workshops aimed to offer students and teachers a space for reflection and debate. Starting from their specific way of conceiving, observing and feeling the themes related to growth, sexuality and relationships, the laboratory intended to help the participants consider how these assumptions can bias words, choices, prohibitions and openings put into practice during educational activities with children. The proposed methodology was experiential, narrative and participatory, always aiming an active involvement and at constructing a welcoming atmosphere. The workshop experience made it possible to delve deeper into some relevant issues in the current debate on sexuality education, such as collective images, consent, betrayal and jealousy. It also brought to light the taboos and the difficulties that still affect the world of adult educators, along with the discomfort of engaging the body, though in a protected environment.
