The use of AI in the world of work has a significant transformative impact. First of all, the issue of the transformation of employer powers by AI is addressed. It indeed inverts the instrumental subject-object logic, consequently triggering a redefinition of labour relations, as well as the constituents of the worker’s very identity. Secondly, the scarce explicability of AI has negative effects on both workers’ trust and the possible identification of responsibility. To reduce the risks, it is necessary to establish an effective social dialogue before the introduction of such technologies and to set up appropriate ethics committees.
