The 2025 stability law allocates resources to measures supporting families with under-age children, thus partially reducing the cost of raising them. There is no incentive, however, for a rebalancing of child care between mothers and fathers. Furthermore, although new funds have been instituted to support non-formal educational activities the specific, much more generous, fund targeted to contrast educational poverty has been strongly reduced and the objective to fill the inter-regional gap in the provision of ECEC services has been substantially reduced.
