359The objective of this short work is to present the concepts of "idea", "ideal" and "schematism of analogy" in the second chapter of Kant’s "Religion innerhalbder Grenzen der bloßen Vernunft" as they are discussed in Allen Wood’s book "Kant and Religion". These concepts are presented by Kant in the context of his theory of moral perfection and, according to the American scholar, represent a form of conceivability of the concrete moral action in the phenomenal world. Given the complexity of the topics, we have decided to focus our discussion on a few pages of the fifth and sixth chapters of Wood’s text, trying to pursue a double objective. First, we provide the first critical indications, preparatory to a future detailed exegetical analysis regarding the difference between the Son of God as an idea and his "mission" towards the ideal of reason. Secondly, it is important to dwell briefly on the concept of practical analogy, which in turn founds that of symbol. In Wood’s interpretation, the use of analogy is the only way to reconcile reason and revelation. If this reading is to avoid misunderstandings and allow the inclusion of concepts of common religious experience, such as forgiveness, it is particularly useful to establish brief and fundamental systematic fixed points.
