The theme of happiness has always been subtly present in Beppe Pellizzari’s work and thought. It is a presence that we could define as ontological, just as that of emotional authenticity, a theme that, in Pellizzari’s thought, evocatively resonates with deep consonances between the last Bion’s (1968) theory and the philosophical theme of Heidegger’s (1926) authentic life. A comparison between the 1998 article on adolescent happiness, republished by Psiche, and the individual and group psychic functioning of today’s adolescents, prompts us to grasp new elements of Pellizzari’s theoretical trajectory: a thought that increasingly moves towards a radically ontological psychoanalysis.
