Youth and the transition to adulthood in a context of growing uncertainty – exacerbated by the economic crisis and the pandemic – are pressing issues for the social sciences. These dynamics are intertwined with the retrenchment of welfare, the diversification of life courses, and the challenges faced during transitions into adult life. This study, based on a survey conducted with 2,598 young people aged 19 to 34 residing in the Lazio region, is part of the Three-Year Program of the Regional System of Youth Structures and Services, funded by the Lazio Region (Regional Law 29/2001, up dated by Regional Law 14/2021). The goal is to understand which services young people consider to be priorities. The analysis identified three main areas of need: support for the transition to adulthood, psychosocial support, and recreational-cultural activities, with preferences varying by gender and age. The descriptive findings can offer valuable insights for the development of policies and services that effectively address the needs of young people.
