The culture of proximity is a response to the distortions of the society of singularity, characterised by growing inequalities and an individualised view of existence. In this context, the cultural system plays a fundamental role, essential for recreating relational interdependence and promoting individual and collective empowerment. The culture of proximity enables policies and practices of care. In this perspective, cultural venues such as libraries, theatres and museums are transformed from simple repositories of knowledge into spaces that enable collaboration between groups and individuals. These spaces are crucial for generating and regenerating social capital, promoting trust and collaboration and facilitating authentic communities. Culture is thus reinterpreted not as a resource for distinction or consumption, as it is functionally represented in the society of singularity, but in its generative, transformative and collective dimension.
