This paper reexamines Freud’s short essay "Verneinung" as a crucial point of convergence between psychoanalysis, logic, and philosophy. By tracing the peculiar form of negation Freud isolates – the «with-without» structure that sustains the unconscious – the paper shows how negation produces a third dimension irreducible to affirmation or denial. The discussion expands to situate "Verneinung" alongside "Verdrängung" and "Verleugnung", distinguishing repression, negation, and disavowal as complementary operations shaping both subjectivity and ideology. In contemporary political discourse, this Freudian triad clarifies how truth and denial can coexist, revealing the unconscious logic underlying today’s «post-factual» configurations.
