There are many ways to begin in philosophy. As Gadamer does not fail to emphasize in his reconstruction of pre-Socratic thought, beginning in philosophy cannot coincide with a chronological beginning, nor with a teleological view. The methodological indication is therefore to approach each beginning as the beginning, according to Sini’s indication, that is, to (re) think of the beginning as a moment in which something still partly indeterminate, though not for this reason indeterminate, emerges from what precedes it. Through this path, the Hegelian subject finds itself involved in the questioning. The fictional figures of the beginning thus multiply themselves to the point of expelling that very thing which precedes its own beginning, asserting themselves in its place as being incipient.
