From Bakhtin’s perspective, a responsible coexistence between the author and an autonomous hero is possible. In fact, the author is not just the absolute creator of the text, but also the responsible interlocutor of her own character. Furthermore, the author is the one that enables the hero to express herself as an autonomous subject, finally capable to tell her own truth. The aesthetic event brings about a double responsibility for the author, in sacrificing her own space to the benefit of the hero, and for the hero, in the role of freely expressing a word independent from the author.
