Architecture, must not seek a model of prison, it must work so that space contributes to making life dignified, enabling prisoners and those who control them to live a different daily life in which an autonomy of action is achieved, albeit controlled. For this reason, conditions must be created and the spaces between these are absolutely fundamental. The coercive force of physical places is the result of an architectural culture that has generated techniques through which to make surveillance more effective, to make people more docile through continuous conditioning.
