103Ever since the idea that the bodies and individual parts of the community in their associative bonds compose the political organism and constitute a "Universitas" took shape in law and in the discourses on institutions, the collective entity that allows us to indicate the unity of multiplicity is the «mystical body». The texts of Piccolomini, Budé, Erasmus, Seyssel, to which we will refer in this article, although attributable to the tradition of humanistic literature, are very different in nature from each other. In any case, one almost always sees at work in the analogy between the social body, the human body, and the cosmic body, an argumentative and justifying will: the social and political order expresses the divine will inscribed in an economy of nature.
