Among the first to grasp the counter-revolutionary feature of the «End of History» and «Posthistoire» themes, Jacob Taubes remains one of the mostly little-known commentators of Alexandre Kojève’s thought. The essay considers his argument against the concept of post-history. It will outline the crucial stages of the philosophical discourse through which Taubes comes to understand the political meaning of this concept; an idea that, arising from the end of history, claims the ahistoricity and thus the depoliticization of all existence’s fields.
