Cooperative enterprises are very active players in the conservation and enhancement process of Italian cultural heritage. The cooperation between the public and private sector is vital and is necessary to accomplish sustainability in its management, also in lesser known areas. The Special Public-Private Partnership (SPPP) is one of the most current forms of public private collaboration. The cooperative enterprises are particularly interested in SPPP and are active in the promotion of new projects. To this end, the Cooperative Associations – AGCI, Confcooperative and Legacoop – with ANCI and Forum del Terzo Settore created the SPPP National Observatory to collect and analyse the signed contracts, highlight the key points, share the best practices and promote new SPPPs.
