   The article makes known for the first time the entire collection of early medieval sculptural material preserved in the Sanctuary of S. Girio in Potenza Picena (MC). They were found during excavations, unfortunately undocumented, carried out in the 1950s in the presbyterial area of the religious building, and have remained completely unpublished until now. The reliefs belong to the early Carolingian period, according to the comparative study, and were part of a liturgical furnishings. The original context of the materials remains to be understood, as the oldest historical information on the Sanctuary dates back only to the end of the 13th century, and the current architectural structure was largely reconstructed in the 20th century.
