Although often perceived as an emergency, energy is actually an «ancient» theme that has always shaped and influenced the development of legal systems. Based on these premises, the article explores the relationship between law and energy, with particular reference to Renewable Energy Communities. In this regard, the Veneto Region and its efforts to achieve a just transition are taken as an analytical perspective
