Cresm Historical Archive preserves important sources to understand the employment policies which were implemented in Western Sicily during the past century. In this regard, the analysis and reorganisation of Cresm’s specific documents has brought to light the names and contribution of Lorenzo Barbera and Paola Buzzola. Hence, this study aims to highlight the key role that these two characters played within the social struggle which happened in Sicily between 1950 and 1968
