This essay examines the transformations of urban labour in light of the progressive remote and digital reorganization of work activities, with a particular focus on the financial sector. The study explores how remote work has progressively established itself within financial institutions, ultimately leading to the development of a fully digital banking model. This process generates a spill-over effect, extending the logic of remote work to other sectors and bringing subordinated labour closer to the operational dynamics of digital platforms. The shift toward agile work and digital banking has implications that go beyond organizational changes, deeply affecting urban morphology, altering the distribution of workspaces, and reshaping mobility flows. The reduction of physical offices and the spread of "deskless" work models raise new issues, including the depersonalization of the workplace, the organization of employee returns, and the role of shared spaces. In this context, coworking spaces emerge as a potential tool to manage this transition. Finally, the paper analyzes the legal implications of these transformations, questioning whether current labour regulations can still effectively protect workers in an increasingly fragmented and digitalized work environment.
