The article engages with the efforts undertaken by the incumbent Polish governmental coalition to restore the rule of law without resorting to constitutional amendments due to the inability to pass constitutional bills in the current parliament. Against this backdrop, the text discusses the approach of the incumbent government towards the captured Constitutional Tribunal and tackles the challenges associated with restoring truly independent judges through the reform of the Supreme Court and the National Council of the Judiciary.
