The legal framework surrounding Artificial Intelligence (AI) is essential for maintaining its "anthropocentric" orientation, as highlighted in various documents and studies. Worldwide, specific disciplines addressing digital transitions have been adopted or are currently under investigation, the European Union has developed regulatory Acts, AI systems have been active in public institutions for several years, and their application in public administration is extensively studied, tested, and implemented, and disputes have already arisen, generating judicial rulings. This essay explores some of the existing knowledge on this topic, examining whether the field can be referred to as "Administrative Artificial Intelligence" (A-AI), and suggesting that it can be viewed and treated as a distinct area of AI application with its own characteristics.
