This article explores the challenges and opportunities outlined in Draghi’s report "The Future of European Competitiveness". While the report emphasises competitiveness, it overlooks key social and regional dimensions critical for sustainable development. Drawing on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the paper argues for integrating social and regional policies as essential drivers of growth. By addressing regional inequalities and fostering inclusivity, the EU can enhance its economic potential. The discussion stresses the need for a balanced strategy, incorporating both sector-specific and horizontal actions to ensure cohesive progress across the Union.
