The article reconstructs the trauma of the "Black Death" that Boccaccio describes in the "Decameron": the "Introduction" to the first day excludes moralistic and approximate comments, because it prefers an inductive observation on the effects caused by the plague. In addition, the work, by virtue of the brigade’s experience, develops the remedies that lead from self-marginalization to a responsible existence.
