This essay is focused on the influence of psychoanalysys on Alberto Savinio’s work, in particular of Freud’s theory, which Savinio approaches through Enzo Bonaventura’s book "La psicanalisi". I will analyze the references to Freud’s theories in Savinio’s books the maternal and Oedipus complex, hence several characters of his stories who are pathologically attached to their mother; and the 'psycho-energetic theory' with the concept of displacement, that inspire plenty of living objects, in particolar forniture, in Savinio’s work.
