141The article discusses the philosophical legacy of Elena Pulcini by revisiting her critique of individualism through the guiding idea that «we have never been individuals ». Pulcini’s fundamental insight that «every I is an Other» is examined through three main axes: 1) the notion that «every Self is a sexed-Other», which highlights Pulcini’s engagement with feminist thought and the symbolic association between femininity and care ethics; 2) the idea that «every Self is other than itself», drawing on psychoanalytic insights to explore the subject’s internal division and the relevance of the unconscious; and 3) the view that «every Self is other than the human», reflecting Pulcini’s turn to post-humanism, ecological interdependence and the philosophy of convivialism.
