202The aim of this article is to deepen Levinas’ concept of creation and its links with ethics and sexuality. It will be offered a commentary of the article "Judaism and the Feminine" (1961) to show that the ethical subjectivity rises only in persons forming a union of love, therefor celibacy is strongly despised by the Jewish tradition. Since the feminine is conceived as merely an attribute of the human being, it is legitimate to claim that Levinas does not condemn same-sex couples. Despite feminist interpretations of Levinas’ work, his concepts of maternity, paternity and fecundity are biblical and refer to psychological relations between human beings, specifically the commandment to love the other as oneself, which demands a sexed self.
